Grilled vegetables? That is snacking - not lunch. Lunch is still couple of hours away so I will talk about breakfast - banana, strawberry and cheerios followed by Odwalla Blueberry B superfood.

Re: Lunch -Thread 2
afternoons, i prefer to eat light. Also, i need to lose some more weight before my dance show scheduled at the end of the year.
Normally, whenever i hear or see the word strawberry, i would want to get my hands on some immediately:-) Thank god I got over that phase.

Re: Lunch -Thread 2
I think I am having a sleeping disorder these days. I wake up around 2:00 AM and after that have difficulty catching up and wake up too late. Got up at 8:30 today and kids were also sleeping. Had to rush to office skipping breakfast and not packing lunch. If I don't drink coffee with food I feel like throwing up.
May be it's the summer. I will live this phase for another 2 weeks and if it doesn't change will call doctor.

Nila, do you wake up feeling uncomfortable? sometimes, when I do not "wind down" from my day, my sleep gets disturbed. Reading is my "wind down" activity. Watching TV or sitting in front of the computer keeps me up.
oh man, did i turn 38 or 58? and this is someone who was able to be up all night partying and then get up and do a show the next day....damn.

H packed lunch today...don't know what he made. I was sick last week and can't believe that he mastered kitchen already. All jars are being labeled and all masala powders are freshly made.
I think all those taking care (sore throat) of him is paying off. Hopefully I take this opp and designate cooking and cleaning to H...ahem DH.
Not only that he also did dishes. Sniff Sniff ****happy tears****

Aww that's so cute. Ask him what he did to be feeling so guilty j/k.
My lunch. Chicken fried rice from lean cuisine, a small red apple, and a sour clementine (ugh the season is over should not have bought it).

Still feeling full after a heavy breakfast - scrambled egg, sauteed potato, bread+butter and orange juice. I love it when our marketing department has big meetings!

I don't want to ruin my moment of life.
It's strawberries season. The cherry season is gone and this time I don't remember having cherries at all.

You found a new regular lunch date, just curious, and tad bit *jealous* of all the food items you been eating lately, while all i do is reheat lean cuisine. Actually, yesterday it was not even that. My lunch was a free cup cake no icing and a bag of tortilla chips. Yep, that's me living a smashing *single* life. Need my kids to come back soon, so that i go back to being a responsible mom who buys, cooks, and eats regular healthy food.

IMO there should be two sections on SUCH. One for the commoners and one for the high class peeps.
Walnut Gorgonzola salad hainwhat excuse me? Raspberry vinaigrette, sparkling water from pancho Poland, kiwi fruit smoothies....clearly, I don't belong here.
Point me to the daal-roti eating peeps section please.

That would be me, altough I am eating wheat or some such brown bread with peanut butter in it. I did try to make it sound fancy, but there's not much you can do about a PB sandwich, atleast the way I eat it.

Ahem, all this drama about walnuts and gorgonzola? really? wegmans has a pre made one off the shelf. one just has to read the ingredients:-) i make very bad daal and i suck at making rotis and a very low tolerance with badly prepared food. so, ya.
Sparkling water, i accidentally discovered when my cafeteria ran out of bottled water. i loved it and stuck with it.

Yet another awesome self-made lunch. Peanut butter generously spread on seedless Jewish Rye bread. Why Jewish rye bread? Coz that was the only bread in the deli that looked brown and came in half pack size. With kids not here, the full sized pack goes bad before it gets finished.
