i would never attempt to make that at home:-) especially, when i can jump into my car and drive to meet maama and paapa and taste their fare. they love me. i don't have parents. works out good. BTW, my mom's death anniversary is next week. Feeling blue sorry, you did not ask but it felt good writing it here in an irrelevant thread.

I guess the batter (?) should be ground kacha paccha and not smooth and it shldn't be watery.

polenta pancho I had to google this shyt.
what's with you high class people and the fancy shmancy foods you eat?!
pickled sundried tomatoes?
versus non-picked sundried tomatoes?
or pickled artificially dried tomatoes?
or pickled non-dried tomatoes?
wait, how would you pickle non-dried tomatoes anyway?
mind boggling.

Both pickled and dried are important. I can't eat raw tomatoes, makes me want to puke. I can't even eat tomato pickle. I can barely stand sundried tomatoes. But if you pickle them in oil with some spices, then I can have a little of that with pasta and such.

Why so fruity lately? Speaking of fruits I am having some raspberries and blueberries(both organic - so surely high class?) along with oatmeal for breakfast.

What's with the word Kacha-paccha? What does it even mean? Kacha & paccha are one and the same.
PS: I understand it is used for coarse and my mom drives me nuts too with that usage.

Kacha-pacha sounds better than kacha-kacha or pacha-pacha. Some things bear repeating for emphasis - garam-garam aka vedi-vediga for example.

We have a problem of plenty with those fruit now. I plucked them yesterday, and filled two grocery bags with them. There are still more on the tree. I guess we will distribute them around the neighborhood.Vidya Bagchi wrote:Idéfix wrote:

dude, I got to stop competing with you. first, after reading your posts on the flowers you grow, i went and cluttered the sides of my home with flower beds. it now looks like the sides of an Italian mafia home in jersey city, expect that we do not have that kind of money or guts or clout. then, you talk about trees. i have apple trees everywhere i could find "space" hoping to sit under one of them now, my home looks like a séance center where tarot readings are done, with fountains and all.
Now, i read about your kadhi lunch and desperately looking for kadhi recipe on the internet. i should put you on my foes list.

There's nothing like sitting under a tree in your backyard on a weekend and reading a book. Next project: get a hammock and set it up.

sunny side up egg sandwich... dragged the younger one out of the bed and made him eat one too. The bread was the last bread i picked up from the deli last night, and son doesn't let me toast, so it was pretty soggy when i put the egg in it, but we both gobbled it down, feeling happy to be just be eating with each other, while i asked him about his trip. Older one has OMG, gained 7 lbs, OMG. To me she looks thank-god-no-longer-anorexic, but she is mortified. So she not gonna eat anything but blueberries, which she will make be buy tonight.
