Obama - I would have won against Trump
Didnt he say not too long ago that Hitlary is the most qualified candidate EVER? http://www.theblaze.com/news/2016/12/26/obama-confident-he-would-have-defeated-trump-if-he-had-been-allowed-to-run/

If he had run, I think Obummer would have suffered a loss worse than Hitlary's.

Good people don't always win. Bad people prevail sometimes. Hillary won 3 million votes more than Il Douche, but lost the count that mattered. That doesn't take anything away from her qualifications for president, or Il Douche's lack thereof. Like employers who make bad hiring decisions sometimes and pick the man with the bluster over the woman with a strong resume, the American people will come to regret their hire.
Obama and Trump do have a real contest they participate in. That is about who leaves a better legacy. History will remember Obama as a great president, and Trump as a bad one. In four years, Trump will have a worse approval rating than Obama.

I like Pres. Obama, but it would have been better if he refrained from saying the, "would've, could'ves". Hope he is not being influenced by the Trump-style braggadocio!
Seriously, with his legacy on the line, his anxiety (fear)and deep disappointment shows..with common human defense mechanisms displayed.
The uncertainties (instability) in the US and India..do create anxiety. Just waiting to see how it all unfolds in 2017.

Last thing any country needs is self-centered idiots worrying about their legacies. If you did good, people will remember it, one doesn't need to work towards shaping his or her legacy.Maria S wrote:I like Pres. Re: Obama - I would have won against Trump
Well, I think this President is unique in the historical (legacy)context-ways. And I don't see legacies as just personal, it is about how actions and accomplishments affect the lives of others.
To me his greatest legacy/accomplishment is his public policy of trying to provide Affordable Health Care to All..without fear of rejection or bankruptcy.
And obviously, there are many other accomplishments I see as his legacies.
Anyone with power has to take their legacy seriously (as in what the impact of their work means) and will affect the lives of others, imo.

there's always work to do, as they say, IMO. Gorbachev, who raised to the party's highest position only to dismantle the very same system, the man behind a truly global transformation, is labeled a mere transitional figure in history.

In a culture that values politicians who do things more by gut feel, Obama was unapologetically cerebral and deliberate in the way he governed. I'll value his analytical and careful mind and his considered positions. And his disdain for shooting from the hip. He has done lots of things that we supporters have talked about, but I'll miss him for this more than anything else. There is no doubt in my mind that he will go down in history as a Mt. Rushmorean president.
His racist haters hate him for many reasons but most of all they hate him because he is the very antithesis of the stereotypes they held so dear and kept proving them wrong over and over and over again.

yes, clearly depends on the populace and their beliefs - sometimes, நிர்வாண தேசத்தில் கோவணம் கட்டுகிறவன் பயித்தியக்காரன்

Re: Obama - I would have won against Trump
If he had any class, he would have refused to talk about this hypothetical contest. But being full of himself, how could he let go of the opportunity to take a dig at both Trump and Hillary? Unsurprisingly, his fans pull out the racist card againsst critics and make laughable assertions of a good vs evil battle.

Obama would have won against Trump.
He enjoyed 50+ percent job approval ratings in September and October and did his best to help Hillary. GOP worked for 4 years to keep Benghazi/E-mails alive against Hillary. Both were no case against her.
Obama had a much better machinery, Axlerod and support teams in elections.
Hillary didn't do well through emails and got overconfident in the end. She thought Americans had seen through the pathological liar, pussy grabber asshole Trump.
Nope! As we found Americans are morons and many love to destroy their healthcare they are getting through Obama.
The Pussy-grabber pathological liar prevailed.

Re: Obama - I would have won against Trump
The approval ratings are as real as Hitlary's 90%+ winning probability projected by MSM right until the morning of the election. His lack of approval is reflected in the democratic party's resounding defeat in the election.

How are you so sure? You may project so based on Trump's past statements and behavior. But your language shows some 'Prophetic Certainty'. Can you rewind and verify your similar concerns about Modi and how many of them came true?

Aha FoxNewsHellsangel wrote:Obambi's gift to the crats.
I believe in Fox News and Santa
Actually it was McCain who gave victory to Pussy-Grabber. Here's how
Republicans hate John McCain.
Hillary would have won if John McCain had supported the Pussy-grabber. Since McCain did not, the Pussy-grabber win.
This is a big theory floating around now. More can be added now that the election is over. Please contribute or watch FoxNews.
