i agree. one of the reasons why ENG did so well in the recent past was that their top 3 were continuously making runs. not so much in this series, yet AUS manages to gift matches to ENG.

i think AUS will not lose this test now. 300/4 on day 1 makes me believe that. i expect them to score 200 more and then ENG will have to play to save the test and not win it.

on a related note, lehman is coming down hard on broad forgetting that his more illustrious teammates have cheated unabashedly in the past. i hope broad does even better while in AUS.

Weird as it sounds, I am rooting for AUS in this test.

painful as it is to watch the once prowling tiger turn into a sheep, i won't mind ENG win. -_-

ENG does look formidable and certainly the team to beat these days. The best batting lineup I've seen in years.

this will most certainly be a damp draw. i can't see 30 wickets going down in three days. this match is a good chance for cook and trott to middle some.

full marks to AUS for trying to make a match of this test. had it been dhobi, it would have been a draw already. had KP come up the order, the results would have been 4-0. nonetheless, clarke has lost 7 out of 9 tests abroad in the last 6/7 months. muaahhh.

on a related note, the ENG team extend their solidarity to panesar.
