yeah, i mean when a man is wanking working from home and has got nothing to do, he tends to spend time on things that are utterly pointless.

Haha, this is funny, and it must have taken real work. I like how you named the quadrants, with the special icon for the visionaries.

Just saw this ... funny!!!

You missed Rashmun and KV. No sweat. I included them in another post to avert tragedy.

no, when i am WFH, i usually dial into conference calls using gtalk instead of going through the operator who may or may not pick up my call. i wanted to check my balance.

unfortunately i can't log in to gma!l from work, so i will try to recall the steps. if you log on to gma!l, you might see a phone-like icon in the bottom hand left corner where you also see who is online for chatting. click on it and download their plugin. by default, you may have zero balance so you will have to recharge (minimum $10). for any international number, it charges 2 cents a minute and the voice quality is good. for toll free USA numbers, it does not charge anything. i find it very useful.

let me know if this does not work for you and i will come back in the evening with the accurate steps when i log in from home.

let me try it. but, dang, i had been calling my family international from my mobile when i could have used this cheaper feature.

however, i did not understand your "bypassing operator" comment.

if i am WFH and if i want to dial international, i have to call the switchboard operator of my employer who then calls me back and then connects the bridge. this takes time. and at times, if the call drops, i have to do the whole 9 yards again. during peak times, he does not pick up the phone for 3-4 minutes at a stretch. too much of dependency. therefore, i use gtalk even if it means spending some money from my pocket.

when i am in office, i can dial international from my desk phone.
