....Two Tambrahmi boys with similar background and yet different routes to the top and high recognition...

Reminds me of the Tamil saying "KattrOrku sendra idamellam Saanru" (or something like that.)

But Raguram Rajan came back to serve his motherland.
He is still on leave from U Chicago.... which has been giving him leave year after year for a decade. Same goes for that guy from Cornell.

Wonder if he surrendered his US citizenship and reacquired his Indian passport. With an Indian passport all through his life, and out of the country it is nearly unthinkable for him to serve one international organization after another for the last 15 years.

Not that there is anything wrong with that - just curious.
