24 glorius years coming to an end.
With natural ups and downs as life, Sachin played some of the best cricket I have watched.

Finally he saw the writing on the wall. He should have quit right away to show that he doesn't care for 200 tests record.

Hope he scores a 200 in his 200th test. That is the best way to prove he is leaving at the top.

Dravid in all likelihood will become a BJP guy - if he decides to enter politics. He attended some RSS celebration that they hold every Sept/Oct.

end of an era, but i don't feel so bad. he retired from test cricket because india is not going to play that form of the game anymore. since india has decided to end its test playing days, he did too.

Everyone has to leave someday. Sachin worked hard for years to earn his spot and more in the Indian team, so he could decide his own retirement.
Not many get that respect or choice in cricket or in any sphere of life. That's what makes a legend.

I won't be surprised if 2 innings per team in 20-20 becomes the "test match" of the future.
