Even more outrage: Egregious misuse of judiciary to stifle Mahatma Anna Empty Even more outrage: Egregious misuse of judiciary to stifle Mahatma Anna

Dear already-outraged change-bringing brethren,

To add to the egregious misuse of executive power, there has now been an egregious misuse of the judiciary in curbing Mahatma Anna's most important fundamental right to gather a 100,000 change-bringers in one location to watch him sit without eating any food for days at end (while the noble Kiran Bedi entertains them).

The Bombay HC not only refused to intervene in the matter of the evil Empress' local agents demanding extortionate rents for the MMRDA grounds, but worse still, advised us - Team Anna, noble victors of the second freedom movement - to propagate the Jan Lok Pal bill by sitting at home and that our protest could be a "nuisance to some", can you imagine!!

How dare some petty HC judge cramp our most important freedom of speech? This is judicial activism of the worst kind, I tell you. Everyone knows that judicial activism is meant to be on the side of us, champions of people power. For instance, we applauded how the SC took suo motu action in the egregious misuse of executive power in clearing the Ramlila grounds of Baba Ramdev's followers. But how dare activist judges side with the establishment?? How dare they decide whether and how we can protest. Haven't they learned in law school that our most important right to gather a 100,000 people in one location trumps everyone else's rights?

Now you know why we want to make the judiciary answerable to the Jan Lok Pal. Then you wouldn't see this kind of arrogant treatment meted out to us, the champions of people power. Judges need to be taught that they nor their laws are above Us, the Civil Society (as represented by Team Anna, noble victors of the second freedom movement).

And now my brethren, your Mahatma Anna needs you. This is the time to bring your full moral outrage to the fore. Please voice your anger at this unwarranted judicial activism and flood the internets with your outrage. Defeat those cynical status-quoists. Crush those glass-half-emptyists. Be the change that Mahatma Anna wants. Together we can. Jai Hind.
