Looks like these campaigns are nothing but farce; Sachin doesn't who show up to parliament despite being MP, what are the odds that he would do anything for this village.

He will definitely show up in his adopted village. Moreover, in that village he will be able to achieve / contribute more than he ever could do in the Rajya Sabha as its (nominated) member.

Sachin recently showed up to clean up a dirty street in Mumbai as part of the clean india campaign or whatever it is called. Now that he is retired, maybe he will go to the village once in a while for a change of place.
