PIPING (#7) PAUSE (#3) are both correct.

I made a mistake on # 8 wrt letter count. It should be 6 not 5. Then the answer will be AS(PEN)S and not ASPEN. But it was my mistake and you pretty much got it I will give it to you.

HOOPLA for # 7 is incorrect.
