Origin of eunuchs in India Empty Origin of eunuchs in India

Post by ashdoc Fri Jan 25, 2013 1:08 pm

i have always wondered whenever accosted for money by the members of the
third sex on the street as to why they exist at all and how they came
into being to lead their wretched lives, or rather the whole concept of
the third sex came into being.

while reading private lives of mughals in india by r. nath i was confronted by this familiar character.

according to him the eunuchs were present in india since ancient times. the ancient kings used the eunuchs to guard the harems.

that raises the question as to why they were required in the harems. the
answer is that the kings kept enormous harems of hundreds of captured
slave women. some body was required to keep a guard on these women as
these women yearned for freedom in this utterly patriarchial institution
where they were only the sexual toys of the kings.

obviously if men were kept for guarding these women, the bored women
whom the king used maybe a few times before moving on to the next woman
and then utterly abandoned---and yet did not let free for she had to be
permanently his and his only--- would start sleeping with the men who
guarded them.

yet the physical strength of a man was required to keep control over them.

obviously men who did not have sexual organs to have sex with these women were needed - these were the eunuchs.boys were castrated for the purpose.

according to private lives the mughals used boys from the
province of sylhet in assam -now part of bangladesh-for this purpose.it
was the custom of the people of this district to make eunuchs
of some of their sons and give them to the governor in place of
revenue(mal-wajibi).this practice was also adopted by the surrouding
district.everyone rushed in to make a profit and emperor jahangir(salim
of anarkali fame) and to take harsh measures to restrict the trade and
stop ruining the lives of young men.

when the husband was not present the wives allowed the eunuch to enjoy
them according to his abillity.this also satisfied their passions.

also'' these unforunate souls were also sexually exploited by men, which was a popular practice among the muslim aristocracy.''

markets were held where good looking eunuchs were sold at a high price.especially prized among homosexuals were kashmiri eunuchs with their fair skin and light eyes.

in persia however they were promoted to the highest offices and welded power of state- one eunuch went on to become king.

THE PROCESS OF CASTRATION

the process of castration i found in valide-novel of the harem. the classic novel on the harem of the turkish sultan by barbara chase riboud

it is as follows- the boy selected is usually a prepubertal boy whose
secondary sexual characteristics like body hair etc are not developed.
he is held down by four hefty eunuchs while he is screaming in pain and terror.no drug or sedative is given to calm him down.

the legs are spread apart.a specially designated barber brings out his
largest and most powerful barbers knife.the penis is held upright by one
hand and cut off with a single stroke by the other hand . this requres
experience as well as immunity of feeling to the horror that is being
perpetrated.

the testicles are cut off more slowly as they cannot be cut with a single stroke.the bleeding is then stopped by bandages.

however if entirely closed the wound will fuse and the orifice for
passing urine will also be closed.hence a neem stick is put into the
orifice while rest of the wound is bandaged. the neem stick cannot be
removed until thw wound heals - taking three days.

so obviously the victim cannot pass urine for all this period of three
days as his orifice is blocked.hence no water is given to him for the
entire three days period to minimise the formation of urine.

the pain and the suffering of the combined effect of terrible thirst, the
agony of the wound, and the pressure of the collecting urine is
indescribable. in many cases the the urine goes up the ureters into the
kidneys-and the victim dies a painful death. many wish for death
anyway......

if the victim is lucky (unlucky ?) enough to survive the ordeal, then
the neem stick is removed from the urethral orifice on the fourth
day.......... and all the collected urine of three days sprouts like
fountain upto a long distance! the assembled eunuchs give a roar of joy and a feast is prepared to welcome the new arrival into their community...........!

however the knife used to castrate is unsterlised and uro-genital infections may cause a few deaths in the next few days.

with the coming of the modern era, one would have expected this terrible
cult to die out and become extinct as their were no kings or their
sardars anymore to patronize harems and eunuchs were no longer necessary.

but then the eunuchs took a terrible
decision-they decided to perpetuate this cult like we like to perpetuate
our race by producing children.they could not produce kids so they
decided to take abandoned street kids and castrate them........

in this act they are protected by modern pseudointellectuals and
secularists.i remember an article in outlook magazine of that congressi
vinod mehta in which somebody argued that eunuchs are a minority (here comes the secularism!) and like any minority should be protected.

it was also argued in the article that the allegations of young boys
being kidnapped for castration are false and that they castrate
themselves!!! (somebody take this vinod mehta to a
psychiatrist......please)

with such attitudes of the ruling elite we are likely to be accosted on the streets for a long time..........

actually modern day chhakkas are controlled by a powerful nexus of the older chhakkas , the goondas they employ and the police.

the police take hefty haftas and look the other way while the older chhakkas and their goondas kidnap and castrate young boys.

the chakkas are made to beg on the streets by these goons and forced to part with their incomes by the goons .

every chhakka is the property of an older chhakka who is called his
guru.the guru has power of life and death over the younger chhakka and
can sell him to another guru.

the gurus lend the chhakkas to homosexuals for sex.

when he dies the others light candles and do pooja hoping that he never has such a birth again......

there is also a temple in karnatak where there is a annual festival of
the hijdas.the temple is dedicated to the goddess of the chhakkas.today
it has also become a place pilgrmage for gays homos lesbians also.

few years earlier a doctor was arrested in surat . he was castrating
young boys with all medical precautions including sterlized instruments
and anaesthesia at the behest of older chhakkas.

Doc, for chaddis aspiring to become as tough as Muslims, don't you think chopping off somebody's cojones is more effective than slitting goat's throats?
