Jackfruit possibilities Empty Jackfruit possibilities

I've heard of curry with green jackfuit (with its meat chopped up real fine), the palm-size fruit within a ripe jackfruit (tona) for snacking, kootu with jackfruit seeds (real tasty), but not burgers, fries etc.

Raw jackfruit is faux-chicken for vegetarians with carnivorous cravings. Great texture and lends itself to all kinds of flavoring.

I wonder why Chikku (a great tropical fruit) is not available in the US (only as frozen cut fruits). I even find Jackfruits, and Mangoes during season.
