Sasthi,

Perhaps my expectations were high when I heard that the songs were very good in Kumki.

This is among my new fav. songs. *The music (always enjoy flute + gentle guitar music!)and lyrics are beautiful..voice of the singer is quite melodious..but, does not stand not, think most tamil cinema singers today could have easily done as well as she does. Heard there is a "Maria" song in the new movie David..will check it out:)

Ok.."Nenjukulle omma" from the Mani Rathnam movie- "Kadal" (Sea).

I will check this song laters Maria. I've listened to David songs and it is all good...esp the Maria Pitache is catchy. Only the songs were highlight in the movie Kumki - watched it with my DD (her first tamil movie) for the elephants and it was an avg movie - the ending could've been different. I was hearing "Sollittale...." for sometime.

M akka, i listened to the kadal song some time. as with most ARR songs, it takes time to grow on you:-) cute melody...

Oh goodness.."Sara Sara" song is just too good..I can never get tired of it..

If I can brag about it..Vimal is among my new Facebook friends, a nice person- always polite and appreciative..his love story is interesting- his family was against him marrying his wife, and still have not made peace, even after he has become famous now.

My favorite too... and the girl acts good - she is ultra modern in real life and saw her in an interview. Hard to believe it is the same girl. Shows she is good in acting.

I like Vimal acting too - regular, normal, low key acting. He married his wife against opposition in a simple temple ceremony. The wifey is a doctor - student.

P.S. I am not his friend on FB.

I know..got friended, actually through his wife- it's small world. Now, you have indirectly friended him (who cares if it's Fb or not) through another friend (that would be me, imo), and I am friended to him through his wife, who friended me through another friend..so we all part of a huge friendship tree! It's all good:)

Seriously..it's amazing, how easy and possible it is to meet almost anyone- no matter how well known or not..just directly interact with them (without all the middle people, if one wants to)..unimaginable not too long ago. And the more famous and powerful people are..often simple and kind they are..and of course you can relate to that:)

*Will also add..these days, even if people have average intuitiveness-judgement of an adult..they can easily figure out the nature/personality of people on line very quickly. It is hard to be fooled or fool others- for more than a short period of time, *unless one wants to!
