"Comments attributed to Hagel"...blah blah.."long time supporter of India"...etc. etc. leads me to conclude that the lobbing of salvos right around cloture time comes from the same sections of backbenchers that shouted "anti semite" and get press from such leading lights at washington free beacon/fox news.

That is, India is a major cause of problems in Afghanistan and funds anti-paki groups; So, India should be taught a lesson.
