these extras belong to dance groups like dancers from SDIPA (Shiamak Davar Institute of Performing Arts) or some other less famous school. some of them are the winners, runner ups, participants from the dance shows on tv like DID (Dance India Dance).

so i'm guessing the answer to your question is No.

Dunno. But why did they show the men-extras in full lungis, but women-extras as half naked? That's not even a SI costume, is it?

I'm guessing there's no big demographic that's hankering to see the hairy legs and chest hair of the male extras.
