24-yr-old thrashes pervert on train

A 24-year-old from Borivali, Purva Bhogle, turned the tables on a pervert who tried to molest her on a crowded local train, as she thrashed the daylights out of him before handing him over to police. The railway cops, upon realising the culprit is a minor (17), noted down his address and let him off with a warning.
 
Purva, posted pictures online of her swollen hand because of the beating she handed out to the pervert, told Bangalore Mirror that the incident occurred on Wednesday evening, when she was getting off the train at Dadar. “He groped me while barging into the ladies compartment,” said Purva, who works as an executive assistant in a shipping firm. 
 
“He showed absolutely no remorse; in fact, he thought I would not make a scene and just go away. He had no idea I was going to give him hell,” said Purva, adding that her friends were surprised how she was able to pack so much power in her punches. Purva said she couldn’t have looked herself in the eye if she had walked away. “On this occasion, he touched a woman inappropriately. Tomorrow, he may rape someone. We have to stand up for ourselves, and I boarded that train again to fight for my honour,” she said.
 
Not just the boy, even other women in the compartment were stunned to see Purva screaming at him.
 
“Even before he could react, I slapped him four, five times. He was so stunned, he could have been hit by lightning. I dared him to fight, and hit him some more,” she said.
 
Realising that Purva was in no mood to step away, the boy started to apologise, promising to never board a ladies compartment again. There was complete chaos in the compartment by this time, as Purva tried dragging the boy out, and he holding on to the compartment pole. “Finally, I managed to pull him out of the train at Sion, and dragged him by the collar to a railway police cabin,” she said.
 
Purva, however, said she was not only disappointed, but also worried, after watching how women commuters reacted to her fight back. “No one came forward to help. A few kept saying let him go, why are you wasting your time? And I was saying, hello, how about helping me get this pervert to the police station?”
 
A Central Railway official said, “The Railway Protection Force spoke to the woman, following which the boy was handed over to the Government Railway Police. Our information says he was let off after a warning.”

This "Sister" is very brave although very very goodly looking.. Whoever her hoojaband is going to be no mess with this "sister."

This 17 yr - minor shytty rule should be changed. Today's 17 is not like the 17yr old a couple of decades ago. Great that she went back to the station and same train.

Women being treated nicely in Bombay and women "can walk safely" int the middle of night in the "cosmopolitan" bombay is all a full load of BS.

I think the solution is simply desi women just following the KPS recommendation (Knife, Pepper Spray, and Stun gun").
