I climbed a couple of nearby 14ers. Princeton, Harvard, and (think) Yale are three 14 er peaks. One of the two we climbed was ridiculously rocky with just a foot wide ridge with slopes on both sides going all the way down. in one instant near the top, we need to jump across an (just) 18 inches gap. except if you slip and fall it was straight down 300 ft. To make matters worse we had 3 18 yr old girls who simply went ahead without fear, and we were panicking. But, it was worth the experience.

But, we had to trek across an icy slope for about 200 yards in August. Also, rains can form suddenly within 30 min. depending on the severity, soil can become lose and rocks can come down. More people die of lightening strikes in mountain climbing.
