met my objectives

Performance evaluation is done. I thought that my boss will put me under "Developmental" category as she cought me staring at her legs while doing my evaluation , but I got "met objecives" at the end. Today is lucky day, I sold RY at today's max price and made 10 % on my investment.

'Met objectives' means you get to keep your job but can forget about getting a bonus or raise!

at my work that's the category with highest increament.

I didn't have to do reviews for a while now, and won't need to do it for a while now... in old company, reviews happened July and March. Flew with bright colors in the July one, but left before the annual one, which is a huge PITA... joined here after the annual reviews were already done... we have a quarterly stuff going on, but that's just to BS on an online tracker, and checkmark the meetings... so a few more months before I deal with this nonsense.

that is smart move, before your old compnay screw you up you left them and negotiate more increment from new company.

actually, I missed out on a huge bonus by leaving the company when I did. they had announced that it'd be great bonus, and my mid year was 4/5, while the norm for midyear is always 3/5.
But, I had got a promotion/increment last year, and I did get a small raise when joining here, so I guess it turned out to be the same.. there is no way I could have survived another 4 months in that joint and kept my sanity.
