He sounds like a Hindian descendant.

Ramnaresh Sarwan - 80-20 Southie... Tamilan or Andhran - only these two groups got boated by the Brits to Windies, Fiji, SA, and SA. Gujjus followed later but not as cheap laborers.

The last guy who was boated to Windies was in 1926. So these guys might - just might - still know a little about their original ancestry.
