A few years back Dharma Raskha Samiti requested Deoband to declare India as Darul Islam and forbid declaring Hindus as Kafirs. Deoband refused. Will this guy first go and debate with those folks and  others like Zakir Naik, rather than writing articles in magazines like Tehelka which as poor readership. Will he support the stance of Dharma Raksha Samiti and defend this stance in Siyasat ?

The problem is leadership of Islamic Institutions India are dominated by the Ashraf's, and ideology of Deoband/Deobandis. Even the Barelvis are not that strong. The Ideologues of Deoband Sheikh Ahmed Sarhindi and others are not compatible with true secularism, where Non-muslims are left alone.

All these folks are Hypocrites.

This article written in an Indian magazine talks a lot about Quranic sanction for closeness to Christians etc.. This is extremely worrying for what happens to Hindus, who are condemned as Idol worshipers  and are not spoken as being "close".

It is shame that even in 21st century some folks have to live in fear, because of sections of a books that Muslims consider as words of god, are inconsistent with each other and classify people and entire races as good or bad. It is a shame that no educated Muslim questions this.

Just because some folks in medieval world wrote these books, all the educated Muslims in India behave like idiots and hold contempt for Hindus, without thinking it through. This is nothing but racism, bigotry and fascism in its pure and vile form. It is unfortunate that the Madrassa education does nothing to combat this kind of an ideology being taught to Young Muslims. Pakistan is a wreck today precisely because of this kind of an ideology.
