B&B: What are your views on a uniform civil code?

Swamy: I am certainly for it. You call yourself a secular country and you have two different laws. It is anti-gender. Why should a man have a right to marry four women, then you should allow women also to marry four men. It is gender biased. I certainly think that a uniform civil code is very necessary.

LOL. It is a weak argument (legal right to have four spouses, male or female) to justify the implementation of UCC.

If these pseudo-legal politicians had any guts, they'd scream at the hypocrisy of having two sets of laws - one for muslims and another for non-muslims - in a so-called secular country. This gender-based bigamy, trigamy and polygamy rhetoric is just a convenient way for the pussywillows to step on the muslim shoes without ruining their shoeshine.

You are mistaken....the common hindu on the street does not know much about Shariat and other Islamic nuances. But, he knows about one thing...a muslim man can legally have 4 wives - which he hates.

All other stuff is for educated middle class wonly.
