Yeah rite.... I read in another report that she was asked by MMS to put in her papers, which she did. Apparently she has been a thorn in approving licenses and overealous on env matters (not as strict as Maneka gandhi - who i loved for her work /strictness). It is said that Shehzada wanted her removal to get FICCI support and also to show some 'action" in the next 3 months.

In my job laying off and firing people are VERY common. When I get called in by the admin, I carry a "resignation" letter in my pocket. I am prepared to hand in the resignation letter if I "sense" they are about to fire me...Razz

somehow, i am one of the handful who has escaped this (until now - knock wood).
