It all depends on tomorrow's action. If it gaps down and doesn't fill the gap , then the island reversal pattern will be complete and it is a very bearish pattern.  If the pattern is negated then your expected short squeeze can occur.
GDX/NUGT formed inside candles today. Now we have to wait and see if it gaps down or gap gets filled or goes above recent high.

What tools/charts do you guys use for TA - broker provided or the public access yahoo/google finance ones?

I mostly use finviz.com for my charts. stockcharts.com is another good site with lots of custom indicators. I only use MA's ,Trendlines ( to draw the trendlines you need platforms provided by brokers , but I can mentally visualize the line).

Yes finviz.com - some colleague had referred me a few months ago and I totally forgot about that. Looks great. Stockcharts.com looks very useful too. Time to get back to some market activity. Thanks for the useful pointers.

Ba: post strike price, option price, expiration etc....I got burnt a little with naked puts so don't play them anymore and keep using lot of money to make chump change (compared to what could be with options)

Smartha I used to have an acct with prophet finance..it had some powerful charting tools

LGND Mar 75 call at 3.6 - Will add depending on the action.
Will close if LGND goes below 72.35
I think there is a chance that it will go parabolic. I don't want to disclose my target price because I don't want to jinx it.

take a look at mannkind, another speculative bio...it seems to be poised for a run to 8 or 9 in short term. I have a small position in it

I already have a position in MNKD. Will add if it closes above the trendline.
INO is one of my positions. It had a nice looking breakout today. Looks a little extended for starting new postions but will be a very good buy if it pulls back to near 3.1

No man, don't underrate yourself. You seem to be good at spotting trends - you were on steel stocks before they took off, rode the 3d printing wave quite well, and proved correct with a contrarian bet on gold when everyone was calling for gold to go below 1000.

in pokers there's a term called run-good. it's when the coin flip lands in your favor more than even odds. it happens to everyone time to time. I'm enjoying it now, hopefully will be wise enough to cut losses when tide turns against me in run-bad

3x ETFs like NUGT can shoot up quickly or collapse very quickly too. NUGT has fallen below 10 and reverse split several times. Just look at this 2 year chart to see how drastically it has fallen. If trading something like NUGT, better be an early trend spotter like Prop and get in rather than be late
and end up as a bagholder.

it's a high risk trading vehicle that you can make money on if you get the entry and exit points right. most of us get one of the two (or both) wrong...

At the least there is a short term trend reversal, so 27.8,25.8,24.5 might be new support values. Is NUGT setup,to always reduce like VXX due to contango ?

Since you skipped the previous support level of 4000, are you saying that Bull Market is going to reverse and this is the start of Bear Market ?

saw some analysis that said nasdaq hasn't had consolidation phase in 18 months which is extremely unusual. 150dma is <3700, so even if there's half way retracement, it'll be around 3800 in intermediate term. it's not a bear market for sure, just overdue consolidation...
