edit feature
I am trying to understand how the edit features works.
a) Can I edit the post , after I have posted it ?
b) If the answer to question (a) is Yes, what happens to those who might be reading the post at the same time I am editing it. I presume the Hazard will be handled by a sort of MUTEX (Mutual Exclusion). That is the reader will not see my modifications until he/she refreshes his/her browser. But this would also mean that when readers go back and forth on a topic, they will read something at a given moment and see something later. This can creates issues, unless the person who posts, mentions that he/she has edited the post.
How will this play out ?

Not sure how it will play out... should be rare enough though. I saw some people's edits automatically getting tagged as "edited at such and such time" but it's not happening for all. Not sure why.rawemotions wrote:But this would also mean that when readers go back and forth on a topic, they will read something at a given moment and see something later. How can I edit the post after it is posted ? I could not find the user interface icon to do this.

Re: edit feature
You can edit a post for up to 10 minutes. You will see an Edit button, next to the Quote button when you have the ability to edit the post. After that, you can no longer edit your post.rawemotions wrote:How can I edit the post after it is posted ? I could not find the user interface icon to do this.

it gets tagged as edited only if your post wasn't the last one in the thread. this is what i understand.
