Or, why the liberals are disappointed.

I do consider myself a liberal, and so far I am not disappointed with Obama. I have my frustrations with him on specific tactics or choices, but when I step back and take a look at what he has accomplished, it is clear that he has done a lot in a short amount of time.

the article was authored by David Frum who was, "special assistant to President George W. Bush from 2001 to 2002, he is the author of six books, including "Comeback: Conservatism That Can Win Again,".." . Not exactly the spokesperson for liberals, I'd think.

Yeah, he's the conservative commentator on the NPR show Marketplace. His liberal counterpart? Robert Reich.

One good point Frum made is Why did not Obama demand the debt ceiling increase when Repubs were clamoring for bush tax revival?

Obama's biggest mistake was acting like that old man with the donkey - tried to please everybody and ended up pleasing nobody and lost the donkey. The analogy is even more apt because the Democratic party symbol is the donkey.

He betrayed most of his core and staunchest supporters by trying to win over the Republican politicians and the so-called 'independent' voters. He didn't realize that both are lost causes and there is absolutely nothing he could do to win them over. I don't think he still realizes that. End result: he made everybody unhappy.
