According to reports, Mr Maraicar, who was working in the country as a systems analyst for a top technology firm, has told investigators in Singapore that jihadists had managed to recruit people from a college in Chennai. The Singapore government in the meantime has reportedly revealed that Mr Ali allegedly went to Syria in January, reaching the besieged country via Turkey.

I think it is New College.

There are quiet a few iSlamic colleges in Madras these days (ex. BS Abdur Rehman Univ - previously Crescent Eng College; Preston Islamic College; CA Hakeem Eng College; Justice Basheer Ahmed Sayeed College, etc..)
