Mr Panneerselvam, who is 63, broke down while taking his oath today. Many of the 32 ministers in the government also cried.

If I have to make predictions- it will be ordinary governance..and meet the basic requirements for the TN Govt to function..as usual.

The new leader-CM seems to be genuinely overwhelmed by the moment (not unlike Mr. Modi and Mr. Boehner and others!) The others seem like mostly copy cats with their agendas.

From what little I have seen Mr. Paneerselvam may be an opportunist, but also a soft-spoken simpleton (when it comes to worshipping the woman he adores) wears his feelings-adoration on his sleeve (literally!) seems like joyful kid carrying brief cases for Jayalalitha..quite amusing!

In case anyone is interested, in this caste-conscious forum..he is from the Thevar tribe..aww, the Iyengar lady and her special Thevar man!
Who says love and loyalty can't transcend all lines and boundaries!

Also, Tamil Nadu gets its own Chai-wala - Paneerselvam was a Tea Stall owner and his family still owns it.

Aside, I donot understand why the filmstars/workers of film industry are going on 'fast' to support JJ?

Is it out of fear, if they donot do this, their next film releases would be disturbed like what she did to Kamal. I am sure Kamal is happy that jj is suffering Smile

she's autocratic, yes, but it's kinda sad for tamilnadu that an able administrator gets taken down. in the long run, it's good that rule of law triumphed but it's ridiculous how long it took.
