Kejriwal accuses Modi of defaming his party symbol
While the entire country is engrossed in adopting various ways to be a part of the cleanliness drive, 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' initiative by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Gandhi Jayanti, there's someone who's not happy with the developments, and that is, Arvind Kejriwal.
Kejriwal has accused Modi of not respecting his party's symbol, i.e., the jhaadu (broom) and using it for sweeping purposes. He said, "Jhaadu represents the ideology of our party and BJP has insulted our very existence." Kejriwal continued, "There are a thousand other alternatives for cleaning the roads but BJP deliberately picked on me and my party. Also, it's not the first time that they have done something like this. Earlier, Modi ji suggested using 'aam admi' as Air India's mascot and then he emphasized on working for a 'common man' during his speech at Madison Square Garden. How much an aam admi can tolerate, you tell me?"
If sources are to be believed, Arvind Kejriwal is planning to sit on another dharna outside PM's residence in New Delhi until they vow not to use jhaadu for cleaning purposes again. On insisting, Kejriwal went ahead and explained the sole purpose of a broomstick, which according to him, should only be used for sweeping the misdeeds of corrupt government officials and nothing else.
Meanwhile, AAP workers were seen celebrating the massive sale of their broomsticks, which has enabled them to raise huge funds for their fledgling party. According to our sources, the funds shall be utilised for increasing the frequency of Arvind Kejriwal's radio and phone advertisements, which like annoying relatives who arrive unannounced, will be more frequent now. So, just wait for your 'Namashkar, main Arvind Kejriwal bol raha hun. Bhajpa sarkaar se apmaan ka badla liya jayega...' call, you'll be getting it real soon!

No political sense at all .... trying to claim exclusive rights politically to the broom which in every household in the world can be found, usually more than one!

Those Kurnool guys in AP who beat each other on Vijaya Dasami should replace that custom with a competition between two groups in jhaau maaro-ing to clean the town.
Similarly, during Pongal, SI states should stop rooster fights and have a jhaadu maaro-ing festival to clean all villages.
At the country level, there should be jhaadu maaro Olympic and see how many gold, silver and bronze medals each state gets. Before the Olympics, they should take pictures of BIMARU filth near Ganga, Moosi, Kaveri, etc., so that the jhaadu venues can be held at the filthiest places.
Hopefully, Pappu, MT, Laloo, Mulayam, Maya, K'nidhi, Jagan, etc., will vigorously participate in the maaro-ing.
