People also have been run over by their own cars but those are just tragic occurrences and not something the Libby academics can attribute to Charles Darwin.

people have accidents sure, but putting a gun where a two year old can find it is not an accident and it's not tragic, just stupid. get over the labels already.

Plenty of accidents involving toddlers and poisons are handled in hospital emergency rooms regularly. But those aren't newsworthy as they don't fit the gun-control narrative.

the woman shows all signs of being one of them 'libby academics' - see, snoopy, not all of them are bad. there are gun touting, NRA worshippers among them too!

the only way to prevent toddler poison accidents is to ban all household chemicals. down with corporates and their associations that promote use of cleaning supplies. I saw it on a youtube video. my idol hilary clinton will ban all such activity when she gets fitted with a natural looking strapon and becomes president in 2016.

both sides are pushing their arguments with weak supporting arguments.
One person's negligence does not prove or disprove NRA's policies. Considering the number of guns in USA, such incidents are statistically insignificant. Using such instances to push gun control is hitting the other side at a vulnerable news cycle moment. May be it is politically pleasing to liberals but does not win hearts on the other side.
Chemicals used in a household have some utility to the household. The primary purpose of guns is to kill people. Control of guns is not the same as control of a household chemical.

i know the idaho national lab where this woman apparently worked, very well. about the only people with college level education who work in that place located an hour outside yellowstone national park, work at the lab. if you walk into a local restaurant or watering hole the "lab people" are instantly identifiable from other town people. everyone including the lab folks are republican. no "wussy librulz" here. i had a young colleague who didn't last more than six months in that environment and came running back to boston. what amazes me is why a woman would feel the need to carry a handgun into a walmart store in a place where there is virtually no crime. don't think i ever will.
