Cricbuzz says this.... "No team has successfully chased for a win at Oval (under lights) so far."
Record will be rewritten tonite - England will chase with at least 9 wickets. Yes, if Ashwin can hit 35+ why not? There are no demons in the pitch, and plenty of lafbhajans in Indian bowling.

India is the Bangladesh of cricket now. Fans are happy if India just puts in a couple of good batting performances and a couple of wickets. Wining is already a thing of past. Series win is now a distant dream.

For all bashing of Dhoni, he is contributing a little bit. One cannot find fault with Dhoni and Indian team's effort given the meagre bowling resources. 4th ODI performance may get them promotion to a rank above Bangladesh. Still winning is off the Card.

According to Wikipedia, whitewash means one side wins all games played in a series. So England did win all test played as part of Test series. It is a whi tewash. Commercial interests may have held off wide spread use of that word.
England does not have yet proven they can dominate in ODIs. Indian batting has shown some abilities in ODIs. If India can keep the 5th ODI competetive, they they can claim some life. However, Indian bowling needs lot of effort for lot of years. Frankly it is not international level.

finally IND has stopped losing on this tour. but they have not learnt how to win yet.

another pointless ODI tour. whatever happened to the WI tour? is it ON and does it have test matches? i don't see any plan for it in the ICC calendar.
the next good series is coming up between AUS and SA. but unfortunately it has only two tests, it seems. AUS did well to beat SA on their last SA tour. can't say they will repeat the act.
