The US Federal government, through agencies like the NIH and NSF has poured billions of dollars into funding research in emerging areas of science and technology over the years. Many of the things we take for granted today - like the internet, search engines, touchscreens, GPS etc - were originally incubated in various universities / research institutions by Federal agencies. Didn't realize India exports more tonnage of buffalo meat than Brazil. I wonder why the buffalo that Yama, the Lord of Death, rides on is not given a sacred stamp. After all, it too gives milk for human consumption and serves in tilling the land etc like the cow.

What if India started raising beefalos like in the U.S.? Would leave the lynching mob totally confused.

Sons of cows worship buffalo too. It is their aunt.
