What are they afraid of, losing the current quotas / reservations based on caste in favor of economic condition in future, and / or having to give up their present official use of religious / communal laws for the sake of UCC (uniform civil code: one law for everyone, irrespective  of race, religion, caste and gender) henceforth?

like losing a few pages from the religious book, which nobody knows who did / ripped anyway, yet, as a general reaction, bringing the whole place (state, even country) to a standstill, by demanding the closure of shops, offices etc. and burning public transport (buses, cars, taxis etc.)?
