....the 2,000 square metre plot in Oshiwara in Andheri was given to her for a pittance, just Rs 70,000. The value of the plot is at least around Rs 40 crores.

Such expensive land to Hema Malini - looks like crony capitalism and sounds like corruption.

However there is a follow up question?

If she were a non political accomplished artist who wants to set up an academy in land starved Mumbai, would you support a land grant?

I support such a land grant as positive govt intervention.

...Actually the price is more like Rs 4/sq ft or 400/100 sq ft. i did not notice that it was sq m.
