To those who dont remember this Former England Star, he was the trigger behind isolation of South African cricket in the 60s.

The England team at that time Milburn, Barrington, Boycott, Cowdrey, Graveny, D'Olivera, knott, Illingworth, Snow, Brown, underwood was a great balanced team that Challenged the equally great teams of South Africa (Richards and the Pollack(s)), Windies (Hunt, Bayneau, Kanhai, Butcher, Sobers, Lloyd, Hall, Griffith, Gibbs), and the Aussies (Simpson, Lawry, Cowper, redpath, Chappell...)

Looking back even the pakis and NZ had good teams that could offer resistance to these teams.

D'Olivera was almost like Dravid at #6.

May he rest in peace.

I don't know why England didn't pick D'Olivera the first time. I thought even the picking of him the second time around was because of the teammates sticking up for him. Anyway, shows you what a bunch of pricks the S.Africans were with the apartheid BS.
