US presidentil elections - what a mess
After the Cruz controversy at RNC, we now have the DNC controversy.
This election is likely to change the course of American history - one way or another.

How? By voters dumping both the main candidates and going for Jill Stein vs Gary Johnson? That will never happen. What we see now - all the shenanigans, brazen behavior, disgusting lies and deception etc will become the new normal if it hasn't already.Marathadi-Saamiyaar wrote:

if you read about american history, this election is nothing new. it's new in the age of television maybe, but far from unusual.

It certainly is unique. Both the leading candidates are highly polarizing and a lot depends on those who hate - repeat H A T E - their own party candidates. Bernie's supporters are pissed off and so supporters of all non-Trump candidates.

US is a far far better democracy than your India. No candidate is barred from contesting election for their views. I was barred from contesting for TN legislative assembly because I would not sign a statement that I will uphold the integrity of India. That is not democracy.

read up on history and not wiki entries. all the bile and bickering is pretty standard if you just ignore the sanitized versions of what is presented in TV since JFK....ppl were neither polite nor politically correct prior to TV being a determining force in politics.

It is not the bile and bickering I am talking and I have been following politics long before Wiki came on the net.
The two candidates themselves are so very polarising. There was always a large undecided. In this case it is the case of the jinxed who become the undecided. And the jinxed dont like the candidate of the otehr party either.
Wait untile the debate comes and how Trump dilly dallies on Tax cuts, Obama care, Abortion, School funding, etc.. This dude has no clue about any of these issues. The only thing is great is bankruptcy laws and how to make (read swindle) money by exploiting it.
Hillary of course will be the "business as usual" candidate.

Business as usual is soooo boring.
I too don't like 4.9% jobless rate. I want 9%. We don't like our jobs anyway.
Hate low gas prices. $4 gas is beautiful.
War with North Korea, Iran is a dream come true.
15% inflation looks so attractive. Hey, we can print our own money.
Love to see the great wall at Mexico border. Ticket $15 for adults, $8 for children. We'll pay for it.
Oh! Completely forgot about tariff war.
