A staid government agency seems to have Trump's number

The OGE, the office of government ethics seem to be taking on Trump using his own tactics -- taking to twitter and using liberal exclamations, a la Trump, telling him that they mean business in no uncertain terms. Good for them.

Wow, people. Some of you are really believing that the OGE was punked, "had", or just totally naive? I have ZERO doubt that their tweets were intentional trolling (which I fully support and think is amazing). The fact that they executed this with a "tweetstorm" a la Trump through nine tweets is telling. Further, the fact that this agency, which usually tweets boring rules and regs updates, is all of a sudden using exclamation points and declarations like "brilliant!", "Very good for America!", and "good call!" in a style similar to Trump's tweets just goes to show that they've got his number and the joke's on him. "Bravo!" to the OGE. They've obviously got some witty and humorous employees working there - employees smart enough to simultaneously mock and out-smart Trump at his own Twitter game. I don't know how anyone can see their tweets as anything other than mocking him and calling him out on his preferred mode of communication and with his own verbage.

People have been saying that the institutional checks and balances will be sufficient to protect the people of the U.S. against wrongheaded and outright illegal moves by this administration. Here is one instance of checks and balances in action. Keenly watching how this plays out.
