Francis Fukuyama tells Stephen Colbert the day after OBL's death was announced: "be afraid of the Chinese... they shoot satellites down from space, they hack into Google's computers; the Osama bin Laden people can't even make their underwear blow up."

This may be a bit of an overstatement, but not by much. The islamic fundamentalism is a big thorn in the side, but a whole fully developed ideology, with a fast rising superpower espousing it, is a long term danger.

Looks like our own Pryanka Sethi and Prof. Ghosh from Midnapore were right on the mark since the beginning.
