Nitin Nohria (Harvard B-School), Dipak Jain (Kellogg, INSEAD)... The world's top B-schools increasingly seem to prefer Indian- origin heads.

Important thing is that his PhD is not even in any of the business majors - administration, finance, real estate, econ, accounting etc..

This is not uncommon here in the US, but Indian institutions still seem to follow the old concept of craddle-to-grave linear specialization. A comp Sci PhD would have been considered a second class citizen in the world of business.
