Thus, when a politician asks people to vote for him and his party by telling them that there will be free water and electricity etc. to them after he and his political party get elected to form the Govt., nobody seems to question and point out that it might not be possible because the Govt. might not have the money and resources required to meet such demands and that it would be advisable and more prudent for the Govt. instead to spend the scarce public money and resources on creating public infrastructures, improving education, enhancing law and order (including security and defense), advancing healthcare, etc.

Similarly, when farmers demand that Govt. should fund the sale of their crop-produce by paying subsidy (MSP / minimum support price), nobody questions and points out that it might not be possible due to Govt's inability to meet demands for MSP because of its lack of money and resources and that it would be advisable and more prudent for Govt. instead (rather than paying for MSP to farmers) to utilize scarce public money and resources on more important things such as improving and enhancing the public infrastructure, education, health system and law and order (including security and defense) etc. and that if farmers cannot manage the sale of their produce in free market themselves directly and without Govt. help (using MSP) then they should do something else including growing other crops which can be marketed easily without requiring Govt. assistance (subsidy / MSP).

The following excerpt is a good example on the need for urgent change in farming policies and practices, while also requiring immediately the new laws to enhance participation of private sector in agriculture so as to reduce Govt. doing and paying for everything.

"Even though agriculture is considered a State subject, the National Food Security Act of 2013 requires uninterrupted food supply to fulfil its mandate. Thus, the storage and protection of foodgrains are very much under the purview of the Central Government. It is incumbent upon the Centre to help Punjab, Haryana and western UP set up proper scientific storage facilities."
