iOS6 updates installs Apple Maps instead of Google Maps. Apple Maps apparently sucks. Yeah the new iPhone5 will have them.

whattttt.. Nav apps synced with google maps in Android are incredible.
It is a weak excuse to say all first versions suck. Then don't call it an upgrade to iOS6. call it downgrade.

Google Maps Navigation has been my most used app on the phone. Google Now is now #1 for me but maps is second. I even used it when driving around in Spain and it worked better than the dedicated GPS device.

Who was your service provider and did you use your RAZR?

Yes, RAZR global roaming enabled so it can do GSM as well. Used offline maps so I wouldn't run up a huge bill. GPS navigation still works with an offline map with cellular data turned off.Hellsangel wrote:panini press wrote:Google Maps Navigation has been my most used app on the phone. Here is the upgrade from iOS 5 (based on Google Maps) to iOS 6 (based on Apple Maps):
As you can notice, you can see that in 3D in iOS 6, which is a big upgrade. There is also an additional thin circle around the blue dot that makes it easier to see exactly where you are.
And next time you want to ride a rollercoaster, head to Hoover Dam.

Is it possible to use a local SIM card on your phone when in Europe?

No. Android is for the grownups. Kids like Lucy can have the iPhone.

Yes, you need to get an unlock code from Verizon and then you can put in any SIM card. I didn't do that though because I wanted to have my US number active during the vacation.blabberwock wrote:panini press wrote:Yes, RAZR global roaming enabled so it can do GSM as well.
