What an awesome movie!
Amazing visuals and two of my favorite-st actors - Tabu and Irrfan. The movie opens with a Tamil song and Tabu even manages to sound vaguely like a Sri Lankan Tamil mother. The Puduchery shots are realistic and unsentimental. As a 'thinking movie' it succeeds far beyond expectations - I am glad I didn't read the book and went straight to the movie. Suraj Sharma, as the simple protagonist, essays a wonderful performance with a breadth of varied emotions.
The real surprise was the neatly packaged answer to the initial claim - this story will make you believe in God. Will leave it to potential viewers to figure this one out.
Must see - in imax 3d if available near you.
