i have watched a few more ozu movies. thank you so much for the intro. i have enjoyed every movie i have watched. saving tokyo story for the weekend.

thank you - not many people have bothered watching ozu. i have been trying to get people to watch his movies for a long time now. kurosawa got all the hype among the western audience.
which ones have you watched so far? his more acclaimed works aren't available on youtube.

i didn't know "the only son" was available on youtube. it's one of his earlier works. i was thinking of movies like 'banshun', 'bakushu', 'akibiyori' and of course "tokyo monogatari". of course, all his works are worth watching. i haven't watched the first three you've listed and intend to do so soon.
on second thoughts, i think i will watch all his movies all over again. it's been nearly 6-7 years since i last watched them.
