Rashmun,

You frequentrly postr someone or other from south saying Hindi is important. There is a common link to those pro-Hindi people. Either they are from north (working in south) or they are Hindi teachers or professors whose livlihood depends on people leaning Hindi.

It is probably an honorary position. He probably does not make any money from this position.

Rushman is not the only champion of poppycock; so is this Malimath who correlates knowledge of Hindi to patriotism. Here's an excerpt from Rushman's link:

People of South India are fortunate that they are blessed with such a great institution to foster teaching of Hindi to our people. "We must take full advantage of the same and become active participants in the nation building activity", Justice Malimath pointed out.

And I have chosen "poppycock" as the mildest expletive. "He probably doesn't make any money from this position". My foot!

the only ones not participating in nation building are the people who can't read or write their own native language; who live in the dusty indo-gangetic plains. the idiotic malimaths of the world will serve the nation better by teaching native hindi speakers who can neither read nor write, to read and write hindi, instead of engaging in teaching hinglish and comical management courses to southern indians.
