That is quite understandable as Ealamites have not made a movie in decades. All else is anti-Ealamite.

KV, you MUST watch 'dilwale dulhaniya le jayenge', if you haven't. You are not a true Indian until you have watched that movie.

aaaah, your mom is from TN, and your dad is SL or something. And she went to TN to have you, or something.
Anyway, if you lived there one or so year at least, then ju an Indian... hence you MUST watch that movie.

No my parents were born in TN, so were their parents and grandparents. I do not know beyond that.
Some years ago I wanted to contest for TN legislative assembly because I was eligible at that time

Oh ok, u grew up in amrika? My ex husband's abcd cousin was like that. Such a fanatic hindu. Initially I would argue a lot with him, claiming he knows zilch about India, but thinks he knows more than us. Then I realized later he was mostly a troll.

Kayal,
I have a long way to go before retirement:)
And am a big movie fan..and over the years have watched a whole lot of them! Nowdays, watch only 2-3 entire movies a month (one in the theater) others on TV or on line..do watch movie clips/movie songs more often.
As you know..some movies are "pure entertainment"..while others have good messages- are inspiring, and others have powerful historical stories and reminders "intertwined" in them (whether it is Hollywood, International..Tamil Cinema). You may be interested in a few Tamil movies- which do have historical and current context of struggles..including- as it relates to Eelam and the aftermath of Civil War.
Will recommend two:
1) Kannathil Muthamittal (imo, was the best Mani Rathnam movie- and could have been nominated for an Oscar!) A wonderful story about a child of Srilankan tamil "freedom fighters" (father who dies and a mother who joins them)..who is given for adoption to an Indian Tamil family..and the child's search for her mother..portraying the families torn by war and displacement.
Nandita Das as the biological mother and Simran as the adoptive mother are superb in their roles.
2) Rameshwaram (about Tamil Refugees).

KV,
You said you are a scientist.
What exactly is your field? Physics, Chemistry or Biology?

KV,
I read your post in which you said you are a Physicist.
Looks like you deleted that message.
I don't think people can find out who you really are even if they know you are a physicist.
