Where is Chandrababu Naidu?
Is he dead or alive? or has he been bought over by Congress? Where is he in this hour of crisis? Why is he silent?

Re: Where is Chandrababu Naidu?
He is secretly meeting with party members to weigh whether or not "two eyes" policy can up upgraded to "three eyes" policy. For now, he left it to Somireddy ChandraMOhan Reddy to act as TDP spokes person.
Of course, he is sold to Congress a while ago or else he can't counter Jagan in SeemAndhra. Congress & TDP are (secret) partners in Panchayat elections too.

Chandrababu will be like 'rentiki (or mooduki) chedda revadi', neither here nor there.
I'm wondering...how would it be if the telangana ppl vote neither for TRS nor congress nor TDP, but vote for Jagan? That would be like a slap in the face of everyone, esp Sonia. That would be great!

What about those central ministers from Andhra -- NTR's daughter, Kavuri Sambasivarao, and others? Are they going to stick around or resign? If they don't resign, do they have any political future?

It doesn't work that way. KCR already said he is merging with Congress (in his defense he always said that). So the deal is TDP helps out Congress in Telanagana so Congress will return the favor in SeemAndhra at the same time neutralizing Jagan's influence. YSR Congress won't be a player in Telangana which is precisely why Konda Surekha and other T MLAs quit yesterday.

hmm... so basically it's jagan vs everyone else. everyone has united to counter him. also divided the state to counter him. sigh!

Kavuri (who was bestowed ministership recently) said he won't resign everyone else is keeping silent. Only Rayapati, who is in Virginia, resigned. TDP/Congress most likely will plan to split seats in in Seemandhra e.g. TDP won't contest or will have a weak candidate wherever Kavuri contets from. vice versa.

Re: Where is Chandrababu Naidu?
It is strange that Congress can do that to a state that has strong regional leaders. MT iT Mata could not have done this to West Bengal, and certainly not to TN. That is one reason, like MAX said, the states should have STRONG, honorable, regional leaders with SOME self-respect. This is what happens when leaders subservient to "high Command" are elected to the State. Even Yeddy did not succumb totally to the Central BJP. He would rather get out. Let us see how Vidarba turns out. The Shiv Sena would not allow it. What will the RSS say ?

Like who? CBN was never a leader material let alone strong (micro-manager yes, strong NO). He happened to be in the right place at the right time, most of his life. YSR was the only strong leader developed in Congress party in the last 2 and half decades. Everyone else are rich businessmen joined politics to use it as a springboard to expand their business interests or protect them.

atleast the expanding business interests part. just a weeny teeny bit. and yes he might have been a thug more than a businessman before he got into power, but that's a minor quibble in indian politics.

TOI article wrote:YSR stoked the Telangana sentiment and associated himself with regional aspirations just to trip the unshakeable Chandrababu Naidu.
Let's see, first time around he became CM by backstabbing NTR (zero credit to CBN), he won the second time riding outsourcing wave in conjunction with screwed up Congress polices, at which point he began acting like a CEO of Hyd than CM of AP.

I was referring to Congress leaders, the likes of Subbarami Reddy, Lagadapati, Kavuri, TG Venkatesh who were established businessmen before entering politics.

Correctmento! What do you think is the reason for Laptop-Babu's silence over last year or so on 'T' matter. He made a deal with Congress so he can avoid the fate of Jagan. Wasn't he cleared of scams last year, given clean chit by CBI!
