Is she an only daughter to her parents? The way she has many properties gifted and transferred to her by her father makes one believe so.

That article provides facts some of us are looking for.
1. Dk's husband is an amrican born person of Indian origin.
2. Dk's desire to stay in new York.
3. If sk has any sense, why did she not clean up the mess. If she ever wants to apply for gc. Or Usa citizenship she is deadmeat.
4. If her husband is a us citizen, she has less reason to claim inability to pay nanny. We all paid baby sitters and social security. She cannot claim poverty based on her Indian wages.

This is revealing, wonder how did American born husband of hers let this crap happen. I can see him not being aware of immigration paper work details but why opt for cheap help? Their boarding is covered by the Indian Govt so they can afford to hire a local help unless he is claiming unemployment benefits or their kids lived in India all along and don't want them to hit with cultural shock.

I guess the real reason could be that she is spoiled having naukar-chakar around all her life being daughter of IAS officer & herself in IFS.
