Long time ago you had said that I would make a good politician. Do you still hold the same view? I am being asked to do some political work for a particular political party but I feel I am too naive and noble and idealistic to take part in the rough and tumble of electoral politics in India.

I honestly don't remember saying that but I can imagine myself saying that under some context.

Not sure I understood the rest of your post completely. You will go to India to help out or help from here itself? I am guessing it is for helping out with modern electronic and social media stuff.

Anyway, if you really believe in that party and some particular candidate I would say go for it. Your being noble, naive and idealistic can either help the party, or it can help you learn new things or both. Just don't be half hearted about it. If you are going to be on road with them, then just try to keep yourself physically safe. Have fun.

Yes! There is also the risk of you voting 'yes' to a poll in the political party to determine if you should be expelled from it.

I had asked b_a directly who he was and he gave me his old sulekha handle. i have deleted that note, and I have a bad memory so I don't remember what that handle was, but it was from before my times or atleast i had not noticed that handle earlier. i have no reason so far to suspect that story.
