Now something that no one will talk about...

This dude - born in SL - was 38 (born in 1939) and boinking a famous Keral movie star Prema Menon...and who was also the mother of the famous Child artist Mahalakshmi Memon (born in 1962). This Mahalakshmi was a prodigy winning several awards and a non-stop baby star in the malayalam film world and came to be known as baby Shoba.

She then started acting in adult roles from the age of 14 and acted with famous stars - Rajni, Kamal, etc..winning national awards. She suddenly committed suicide in 1980 at the age of 17 dressed beautifully to go to the national Award ceremony. the funeral procession in Ashok nagar was unprecedented since the days of EVR periyar and Rajaji's procession.

Now the real story...This balu Mahendra dude was boinking the girl as well from the age of 14. Only later it was known that he had married Shobha at the age of 15 in 1978 and boinking both Shobha and his MIL Prema Menon. He was shedding crocodile tears saying Shobha was like his daughter, etc...and only much later slowly and quietly accepted his marriage with the minor girl Shobha. # 1 crook of the worst kind as Shobha was very earthly, next door type of girl who would act mostly in Sarees (never saw her in any glamour role or any western dress... ). The fans looked at her as a family member and sister rather than a "fantasy lover" and her death brought an outpouring of grief and a couple of guys set fire to themselves (duh....no surprises there).

So ...that is the legacy of this Balu sir, and it is only fair that one knows about the dirty side of the scoundrel.

Btw was he not arrested by the cops? They suspected him of foul play.

Now you are telling me that he was boinking Shobha's mother before. So Shobha was his "daughter" figure.

So what he was talented?
