sorry g_k. that's what my aunt used to say. i never had the opportunity to listen to him live, but my aunt who had attended many of his concerts used to say that the best way to listen to MDR is to avert one's eyes from the stage and focus only on the sound. apparently a great way to terrify little kids was to make them watch him sing.
