'Bizarre requests' of national teams traveling to Brazil for Fifa World Cup revealed
LONDON: A list of some of the bizarre requests made by the teams participating in the upcoming Fifa World Cup has reportedly been revealed as they travel to South America for the tournament.
A Brazilian report uncovered the strange requests by the teams including Jacuzzis, soaps, flatscreen TVs, Playstation and six security staff, majority to look after Portugal star Cristiano Ronaldo.
According to Daily Star, France has made the most bizarre request demanding that all the bathrooms in their Sao Paulo hotel replace soapstones for liquid soaps.
Meanwhile, Portugal has reportedly demanded for six bodyguards in their official party out of which four will be protecting their skipper Ronaldo.
The Ecuador national team has reportedly demanded that every member of their playing squad is given a fresh basket of Ecuadorian bananas daily.
Other requests include silent AC units, Qurans for players and team officials, halal meat, Spanish TV stations, newspapers from around the world, etc, the report added.
